TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine’s TMA Medical Student Section (MSS) chapter spent the past year actively involved in improving community health.
Here is what we have been up to:
- Provided meals for the community during the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Assisted Tarrant County Public Health with answering the COVID-19 hotline and contact tracing;
- Assisted in distributing personal protective equipment;
- Volunteered in vaccination drives with the Immunization Collaboration of Tarrant County; and
- Most recently, co-hosted, with the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine TMA-MSS chapter, American Medical Association President Susan Bailey, MD, who gave a talk on organized medicine.
The TCU-UNTHSC chapter is committed to shaping future health care leaders and making Texas a healthier place to live. We look forward to continued success this year!
